Alright, down to business. The timing to take the picture? Spot-on. The beach is a beautiful piece of God's(or whoever you believe in's) work, especially at sunrise/sunset.
The type of camera you used has definitely got to be a designer. You can see, in the foreground, each of the pebbles individually. The trees and hills (or dunes) make it look like something off of one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
I think the only problem I have with it is the originality. I mean, everybody has taken a picture of the sea at sunrise/sunset. But, also, it never seems to get old.
It looks like such a lovely place judging by your photo so I can imagine that it must have looked quite beautiful in person!
I really like the composition - those rocks in the foreground make a lovely lead in to the scene and the rocks at the back just finish it off perfectly. I find that tree most interesting the way it's situated.
It's actually quite nice that there's no water around the rocks in the foreground because all the little pebbles are exposed which add a lot more to the scene. As for the light and colours... they're lovely and help to create a very peaceful atmosphere. A simple sky, but pretty nonetheless.

Great work!
