Ah, the kind of photo that makes me want to go on the West Coast (maybe this summer).
The composition itself is really good. The shape of the rock that makes a wave who is going to crash on the beach. Also the rock fits perfectly in the composition (we still can see a good part of the sky). And with the good angle of view, we can see both sea and sky. The light is also great on the whole shot, maybe you should add more contrast in the sky.
In conlusion, gorgeous and great shot! It really deserves a
I could be mistaken, but this looks really, really similar to the area right around Devil's Punch Bowl. I absolutely love Oregon's coast. When I have time and money, I'll be taking a long, comprehensive road trip along them once again.
It could look similar, I've only lived in Oregon a year and a half and never been to Devil's Punch Bowl. This was certainly at cape kiwanda just north of Pacific City though. Yes the Oregon coast certainly is beautiful (when the weather cooperates)
Everyone else has said it...but I must agree: the composition is amazing! There's this great sort of perfection in this picture that makes me not able to stop staring at it. It looks like a gorgeous place!
Cape Kiwanda is the same place I took my two newest deviations. It looks like the weather was much more pleasant Sunday. It was nasty on Sat. which is why I didn't take many shots. I would have loved to spend a whole day there though. Beautiful and interesting place.
Yeah I noticed once I got there that it was the same place you took those two photos at. This was my first time there. The geology of the place is very interesting and makes for some good photos when the weather is right.
Horribly busy! I wish I had more time for photography, but academia and work are taking up all of my free time. Fingers crossed I'll have more creative time this summer - I've got some ideas I'd like to work on.
