I am a nature photographer based out of Portland, Oregon. I have been shooting photos for about 10 years now and shooting digital for 6. I mainly focus on landscapes but I also enjoy wildlife photography (primarily birds as birding is another hobby of mine).

I'm just checking in, I haven't been on here in a long time because life has been really really busy. I just submitted a couple new photos I took over the last couple years but life has really gotten in the way of Photography. I finished my bachelors degree in Natural Resources in December of 2012 and then last June my wife and I had our first baby so between school, work and fatherhood photography has fallen on the backburner. I have been looking at some of my old photos and it has inspired me to get back into it. I would like to try to at least make an attempt to shoot some more photos when we take a trip to the coast or to the scenic Bend
Sorry for the lack of new photography lately. I've been quite busy with school and now summer work. I'm planning on a few trips this summer so hopefully I'll have a few new ones to come. I'm in bend as we speak so I will post a few I took the other night after this journal.
I may not have mentioned this before but as one who obviously enjoys nature (as you can see through my nature photography) I am also an environmentalist. I am writing this because I have been recently been comparing cars because I will be getting a new car when I finish college and start working and I just wanted to see what was available. My primary concern is fuel economy, partly to save money but mostly for environmental reasons. After doing some research I was really saddened by what we had available in the US.
